Fault-controlled springs: A review

نویسندگان

چکیده

Springs sustain groundwater-dependent ecosystems and provide freshwater for human use. often occur because faults modify groundwater flow pathways leading to discharge from aquifers with sufficiently high pressure. This study reviews the key characteristics physical processes, field investigation techniques, modelling approaches management strategies fault-controlled spring systems. Field techniques suitable quantifying fault are restricted by values of ecosystems, requiring mainly non-invasive techniques. Numerical models systems can be divided into local-scale, process-based that allow damage zone core distinguished, regional-scale usually adopt highly simplified representations both spring. Water resources relating involves ad hoc applications trigger levels, even though more sophisticated available. Major gaps in understanding create substantial risks degradation activities, arising limited data process understanding, models. Thus, further studies needed improve hydrogeological including through detailed studies, physics-based modelling, effects withdrawals on discharge.

Estimated Annual Effective Doses of Radon in Springs and Qanats Nearby Kouhbanan Active Fault System; Iran

The presence of radon in drinking water causes health risks associated with exposure from both inhalation and ingestion. Since the studies show that faults near the water resources have a critical effect on the concentration of radon, Kouhbanan active fault zone, to find water resources  with high radon concentration was chosen for the following investigation. Water samples were taken from all ...

Software Fault Prediction: a Review

Software defect prediction in software engineering is one of the most interesting research fields. To improve the quality and reliability of the software in less time and in minimum cost, it is the most relevant key area where various researchers have been done. When the size and complexity of software increases then faults prediction in the software became more difficult. To maintain the high ...

A Review of Application of Signal Processing Techniques for Fault Diagnosis of Induction Motors – Part I

Abstract - Use of efficient signal processing tools (SPTs) to extract proper indices for fault detection in induction motors (IMs) is the essential part of any fault recognition procedure. The Part1 of the two parts paper focuses on Fourier-based techniques including fast Fourier transform and short time Fourier transform. In this paper, all utilized SPTs which have been employed for fault fete...

A Review on Concurrency Fault Detection Techniques

 Abstract— The UML is the most common language that is used for system modeling. But, this language has been designed as a general purpose modeling language that might need modeling constructs for the specific real time embedded (RTE) domain. To fill this lack, OMG has standardized a UML addition, called MARTE. Domain specification UML provides a special way called a profile. The UML profile f...
